DOHA -vApril 24, 2003 Hyperlink, which is the Middle East's leading consulting firm specializing in the integration of technology to support business objectives, has begun implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for Qatar Foundation, a non-profit educational organization, using the Oracle E-Business Suite. The Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is a private, non-profit organization, which was founded in 1995 on the personal initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir and Head of the State of Qatar. Hyperlink's Oracle-based solution will automate the Financials, Human Resources, and Distribution set-ups within the Qatar Foundation. The solution will help the Foundation to streamline its financial and human resources procedures within different centers providing accurate information, timely reporting, embedded operational and financial control as well as budget control.
The Oracle applications will cover the corporate requirements in the back office financials at the Qatar Foundation. It will facilitate distribution and purchasing, project modules, human resources and payroll including Oracle's HR self service and training administration modules to handle training departments in various companies. The solution, which offers strong multimedia support, is web enabled.

Amal Hijazi to launch Panasonic's new branding campaign in the region

Ajman University Teaches Accounting with ACCPAC
Computerized accounting education program aims at building practical knowledge for accountants in the United Arab Emirates; first step in a series of technology-based education programs for Ajman University business school
Ajman, 23rd April 2003 Ajman University of Science and Technology announced today the launch of its first technology-based education program for the university's accounting and finance students. The program, incorporating ACCPAC Advantage SeriesÔ accounting software, helps build the students' knowledge and expertise in applied technologies focused on accounting and finance. Dr Yahya Haddad, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University, comments: "Ajman University has a firm commitment to providing technology-based education. We believe this is a strategic approach towards building the knowledge skills necessary to meet today's business and management challenges."
The program will be rolled out simultaneously throughout all of the University's campuses in Ajman, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, UAE.
